KOCHI: “The award is like a sumptuous meal for me and I am waiting for my dessert,’’ said actor Vinayakan who bagged the best actor award for his role in Kammattipadam. He said he had nothing more to say on his achievement.

“Though I didn’t expect an award I always had strong desire to win it. Everything seems to have worked out,” he said while celebrating along with his neighbours and friends at Thalanganathara near KSRTC bus station here.
It was around 5 pm on Tuesday after the news of the award was flashed on television that the actor joined his family  staying near the KSRTC bus station. Though photographers and reporters asked him to pose with his parents the actor turned down the request saying he didn’t want to act in real life. “I can’t act in real life. If it’s in front of a camera I can do it,” said Vinayakan.

Though he was not ready to comment on reports about the neglect he allegedly faced while being considered for the award, Vinayakan said the award itself was a fitting reply to such charges.
