The Indian Fashion League has some big names participating in the show in Kochi

KOCHI: Glitz and fashion are back in Kochi and this time it is the Indian Fashion League which is turning fashionistas’ heads in the city. The first season of the show, hosted at the Crown Plaza, from Wednesday features a host of designers including Shravan Ramaswamy, Naushija, Unais Mustafa, Swetha Menon, Rasnim Arif, Santhosh Kumar, Roshan and Farza.


Dubai-based Apeksha Binoj, who hails from Thrissur, is the youngest designer in the team  and was branded ‘The Youngest Fashion designer’ of 2016. Bridal attires and Indian-design wear will feature mainly at the show. Various designs will be showcased in six rounds. Bollywood actor Koena Mithra will walk the ramp in the exclusive grand finale by Unais Mustafa.


More than 70 models from Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and other parts of India will walk  the ramp along with Mollywood actors including Nikki Galrani, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bhama, Neha Saxena, Vishnu Priya, Drishya, Anjali Nair, Kamini Singh, Liona, Priya Lal, Malaika, Gournika, Sarnya, Mareena Michael, Sarayu, Megha Mathew, Ramya Panikar, Nayana, Kavya Suresh, Roshan Mathew, Vaishakh Nair
“ The Indian Fashion League is a good platform to showcase the skills of the Indian designers, models and other fashion industry talents.

A lot of effort has been put into the show and we have roped in some of the best names in the industry as well. We hope this event turns out to be a success and sets a benchmark for the coming seasons of IFL and international fashion,” said actor Edavela Babu, director of the event. The show directors are Dalu Krishnadas and Jude Felix. The hair and makeup partner for the event is Jajimole K, Jajis  Group. 
The event is sponsored by Mahindra & Mahindra and Koral Group. The event is  marketed by Black & White Creations. Ezpanio Events also launched the  new logo of the ‘International  Fashion League’, which is scheduled to be held in November.
