Researcher Vaibhav Rupapara shares how Artificial Intelligence is taking over health sector

The healthcare industry is growing at unimaginable speed. With the advancement of technology, the healthcare industry is poised to be highly beneficial with the demand for Artificial Intelligence (AI) in daily operations. Vaibhav Rupapara, one of the top-notch researchers, is utilising AI in healthcare to assist medical providers with seamless processing in overcoming complexities at a faster rate.

Vaibhav holds an M.S degree in Computer Science from the reputed Florida International University. Certified as a Salesforce Advanced Administrator and a Salesforce Application Architect, he has been closely associated with software development for almost a decade. Beginning his career in India, Vaibhav then flew to Phoenix, Arizona, thereby being placed at Boston in the USA.

As of now, Vaibhav is working for a healthcare company that provides wellness solutions to its clients. Always striving for excellence, Vaibhav has been rigorously working towards offering customer-driven experiences that promote a holistic lifestyle. His authored book ‘Machine Learning in Healthcare’ is among the bestsellers available on the internet.

Moreover, the ever-growing demand for AI has widened the concept of Machine Learning (ML) in the healthcare sector. Elaborating about it, Vaibhav said, “Machine Learning in the healthcare industry is a mechanism to predict what treatment procedures will work for patients, based on the treatment framework. It is a huge leap for many healthcare organisations in today’s time.”

The years of research done by Vaibhav highlights how deep learning is used for speech recognition in the form of Natural Language Processing, also known as NLP. “I feel being at par with human language has been a crucial goal of AI in healthcare technology for years. The most common use of AI in healthcare is of NLP applications as it decodes and classifies the clinical documentation”, added Vaibhav. Besides this, his recent research has been getting a lot of citations.

His research was about the utilisation of machine learning to evaluate social media sentiments across the digital domain during the pandemic. For the future of AI in healthcare, Vaibhav believes that technologies must adapt to the daily practice of clinical activities.

Recently, he was appointed as a senior member in IEEE. Making a place in the committee, Vaibhav is optimistic to pen a book on how technological advancements will change the face of the healthcare industry on a global level.
