LG has announced LG-GM730, the world's first smartphone to feature Windows Mobile 6.5. Recently LG signed a special contract with Microsoft which allows them to be the first manufacturer of a phone with the new version of Windows Mobile. In addition to Windows Mobile 6.5, the LG-GM730 also features LG's dynamic direct and intuitive S-Class User Interface.
Built-around a 3D layout, S-Class User Interface provides four customisable home screens. S-Class User Interface eliminates nested menus, providing direct access to features and applications. Setup for e-mail is simplified. Internet Explorer 6.0 enhances the web experience.
The combination of Windows Mobile and LG's new 3D S-Class User Interface will make the LG-GM730 the most functional and easiest to use smartphone. This phone will act as a launch pad for LG which is expected to launch a number of smartphones this year, with features similar to the LG-GM730. The device will be in the market in the first half of 2009.
