Meet Sanmay Ved, the Indian-origin Man Who Became Owner of Google

Sanmay Ved, a former Google employee also an India-Origin became the owner of Google.com for a minute on September 29.

Ved explained how he purchased Google.com in his LinkedIn post.

In his post he wrote, 'I was learning more about the Google Domains interface, and typed google.com and clicked search domains. To my surprise, Google.com was showing as available!'

He made a transaction of $12 from his credit card for the purchase of Google domain.

After the transaction was complete, he even received two emails, which usually is sent after the domain is booked.

Further he mentioned in his post, 'Additionally, I started receiving notifications, for when ownership changed along with new ownership details in the Google search console for websites that are powered by Google sites. Quite clearly, ownership had been granted to me. Order was successful.'

The note ends with, 'I have reported the incident to Google Security. Google has reverted, and has acknowledged the incident.'
