Facebook has recently informed its content creators and video platform partners that they would be testing offline videos, a mainstream feature of having the videos on the phone so that one can access videos when away from cellular networks.

The feature, brought and tested like Youtube offline videos would allow users to download the videos to their smartphone when on WiFi and play the video later when there is no internet connection for the phone, mainly useful while travelling long distances where one would not know if there ll be stable internet connection for some video based entertainment.

Facebook has said that the feature would be rolling out for select people and would be launched full-fledged once the feature is found to be good enough for mass consumption. As of now it is said that the videos will only be playable through the app and not be stored in the internal memory of the Phone.

Facebook has been all testing secret conversation feature which allows users to have a secure snapchat like experience where one can send messages to users and the messages will self destruct after a certain time period of the message being read.
