World-renowned Odissi dancer Sonal Mansingh is dedicating ‘Abhilaasha’—Aspiration Dedicated to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan at the Jivan Pani Memorial Festival 2015. Mansingh and the Centre for Indian Classical Dances are bringing the festival to Delhi on March 18 at the India Habitat Centre. Solo dance recitals by Sanjib Bhattacharya (Manipuri), Dipjyoti Das (Sattriya) and by Quincy Kendell Charles (Kathak) will be followed by a Sitar and Cello duet by Shubhendra and Saskia Rao. Mansingh, known for expressing her views on cultural issues, is active on a social networking site and is making a connect with the younger generation of artistes and art lovers.

Another noteworthy work coming to IHC is Rain, The Ganga Waterfront Along The Time Machine—a public art installation—by eminent artist Manav Gupta. Gupta is known for his minimalistic and fresh style of using material from nature for works of art.
