The belted, denim saree that Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor sported in January was supposed to be a one-off creation, made of an upcycled pair of Levi’s jeans.
At least that is how designer Masaba Gupta planned it. Teamed with high-waisted pants and high neck collared crop top, it soon turned into an online obsession.
Much to the respite of the actor’s fans and designer’s patrons, Masaba decided to launch a complete denim line on March 2. And guess what?
Actor Anushka Sharma picked up a polka-dotted crop top and palazzos. The good thing is that there’s nothing clichéd about the line.
There are crop tops, palazzos, dresses and saris, but no jeans. With 2017 belonging to a denim-on-denim trend, looks like the collection will have many takers.
