

“The team of Ezra feel tremendously lucky that no one has explored the rich Jewish history, on celluloid, to such an extent, in Kerala, or even in Indian cinema, for that matter,” said Prithviraj, a day before the release of his horror-thriller Ezra.
“Anyone who attempts a film on the Jewish community should start, in Kochi and Chendamangalam, as it is there that the Jews had a strong presence, thanks to trade settlements,” said the actor.
He added that one should walk into the theatre, with no preconceived notions about the film, but with the earnestness of watching a story unfold.
The leading lady, Priya Anand shared her experience of working in her debut Malayalam film, as well, “Just when I was beginning to think that I wasn’t getting to learn anything new, along came JayK (director) and Ezra,” she said.
Actor Sudev Nair said that he has already seen the film twice, and got scared both times. “I’m working with Prithviraj for the second time, and I’m hoping to piggy-back on his stardom!” the actor joked.
The others present, at the interaction, included director JayK, producer Mukesh R Mehta, new face Ann Sheetal, and music director, Sushin Shyam.
