JAMSHEDPUR: Geeta Koda, wife of former chief minister of Jharkhand Madhu Koda, today expressed confidence that her husband's good work as MLA would ensure her victory from the Jagannathpur assembly constituency from where she is contesting.
"What for Sympathy. I am 100 per cent confident that I will emerge victorious in the ensuing assembly poll with wide margin only because of my husband's impressive performance during his tenure as MLA (twice from Jagannathpur assembly segment in West Singhbhum district)," Geeta said after casting her vote from the Patahatu polling booth in the last phase of the five-phase Assembly poll in Jharkhand said today.
"My husband has fulfilled the promises he made in the last elections and provided basic amenities like roads and electricity in every villages in tribal dominated Jagannathpur," she claimed.
Madhu Koda at present is the Lok Sabha member from Singhbhum parliamentary seat.
Asked about the poll prospect of her fledgling party "Jai Bharat Samanta Party" (JBSP) in the ensuing poll, Geeta, who has been drawing a huge crowd particularly women with her impressive speeches during her election meetings, claimed she was certain to bag all the nine seats JBSP put up in Kolkhan region comprising of East and West Singhbhum and Saraikela- Kharswan districts.
