MUMBAI: BJP national general secretary Gopinath Munde has organised a ‘great, grand and royal Maratha’ wedding for his daughter Pritam Munde, a doctor by profession, which will be solemnised on Friday at the SSPMS Grounds in Pune.
According to the event managers Wizcraft, which is managing the show, the theme of the wedding is that of the rule of Maratha King Shivaji and the flavour of the party will be in Maratha style.
Pritam, a dermatologist, will tie the knot with Gaurav Khade, an engineer currently doing his PhD in America, in the presence of an expected 40,000 invitees. Khade is the son of Dr Rajendra Khade, famous radiologist from Nasik.
The city police and the administration is also gearing up for the grand day since a list of VVIP dignitaries have confirmed their presence at the wedding. Almost all the senior BJP leaders, including Advani, Rajnath Singh, Venkaiah Naidu, Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj, along with most of the BJP ruled state Chief Ministers like Narendra Modi, Shivraj Singh Chouhan are likely to attend the wedding on Friday.
