LUCKNOW: Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh has been in the news for all the wrong reasons ever since AICC general secretary and Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi stayed at the hut of a Dalit in Jhansi district.
Now comes a good news from the same district: Rich discovery of the uranium and the REEs (rare earth elements, which is a combination of 17 metals with atomic weights between 61 and 71, and very difficult to separate from one another). With this, UP joins Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh with the deposits of REE and uranium, and the new find may help the country end the export monopoly of China, which has over 95 percent of REE deposits in the world.
