NEW DELHI Putting Pakistan under legal and ethical pressure, India has secured Interpol Red Corner Notices (RCN) against the five more accused, including two serving Army Majors, for their alleged role in 26/11 terror strikes in Mumbai.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), investigating the Mumbai terror attacks, secured the RCNs after an additional sessions judge in Delhi issued non-bailable arrest warrants against the five accused, a couple of days ago.

The RCNs have been issued against Major Sameer Ali and Major Iqbal, serving in the Pakistan Army, Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) operatives Illyas Kashmiri, Sajid Majid and Syed Abdur Rehman Hashim. India has already procured the RCNs against LeT’s founder Hafeez Sayeed and his close aide Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi in connection with the 26/11 attacks.

The notices put out by the Interpol carry photographs of two of the accused - Syed Abdur Rehman Hashim and Sajid Majid who have been described as 39 and 32 years old respectively and residents of Lahore.

Major Iqbal and Major Samir Ali have been described as born in Lahore, having black hair and eyes and 45 years and 44 years old respectively.

The RCNs against Illyas Kashmiri says that he was born in Kotli, Pakistan on January 2, 1964, weighs 60 kgs and is 1.73 metre tall.

Sources said the arrest warrants were procured on basis of information provided by the American-Pakistani LeT operative David Headley which he divulged to the visiting NIA team in June.
