HARIDWAR: Head of Shree Kashi Math Samsthan Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji passed away at Vyas Ashram here in the wee hours today.
"Swamiji attained moksha at 1:15 am on Sunday morning. He was 92," Manager of Vyas Ashram Ranganath Mallya told PTI.
Swamiji was suffering from old-age related problems, he said, adding that he was heading Shree Kashi Math Samsthan since 1949. Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji will be succeeded as per his wishes by 34-year-old Shriman Samyanindra Theertha Swamiji as the head of Shree Kashi Math Samsthan, Mallya said.
