Man Commits Suicide Over Two Flower Pots

GURGAON: This might be unheard of but a 21 year old man in the Millennium City Gurgaon in the national capital region committed suicide after he was beaten up for breaking two flower pots.

The deceased identified as Keshav Dhanal was from Nepal and recently started working as a helper in house of businessman in DLF Phase 1 C-block. 

According to the police the incident occurred on Sunday evening when after cleaning one of the cars where he worked Dhanal was trying to park the car when he accidentally hit the two pots placed outside the house of one Mr. Kher –a Supreme Court Lawyer.

Kher who is absconding now and the police does not have any information about his first name, came outside the house and beat up Dhanal. After which he went up to his room in the servant quarters in the house where he used work, which is situated right in front of the lawyer and hung him from the ceiling. The employer of Dhanal runs a transport business in Delhi and lives Gurgaon, Dhanal was working with him for the last two months.

“People present on the scene said that after the row with Kher, Dhamal went upto his room and locked him for two hours. The people working with the deceased got worried and after no response for two hours broke open a window and saw Dhanal hanging from the ceiling. They were surprised to see such a step taken by him as he was very cheerful and happy person. Kher and his family are absconding and an FIR under section 306(Abetment of suicide) has been registered against the lawyer. The body of the 21 year old has been handed over to the family of the deceased after the postmortem; further investigation is on Kumar informed further.
