4 kg heroin, 100 grams of opium seized near Indo-Pak border in Punjab

According to officials, around 146 kg of heroin has been seized so far this year by the BSF from the Punjab border.

CHANDIGARH: Nearly four kg of heroin and 100 grams of opium were seized by the BSF and the Punjab police in a joint operation near the Indo-Pak border in Amritsar today, officials said.

Nine packets containing 3.980 kg of heroin and a packet containing 100 grams of opium were found buried in a field between the International Boundary and the border security fence, officials said.

According to officials, around 146 kg of heroin has been seized so far this year by the BSF from the Punjab border.
