PANAJI: The Congress in Goa on Friday asked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led coalition government in the state to prove that Chief Minister was fine and fit to run the government.

Addressing a press conference at the party state headquarters in the city, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) spokesperson Jitendra Deshprabhu said,''At least they should release a video showing that the Chief Minister was walking, speaking and working. There is no bulletin or any doctor speaking on his health condition."

''We request the BJP president not to misguide people. The fact should be known to the people,'' he said.

The party had earlier demanded that they are given an appointment with the Chief Minister through video conferencing but they could not get.

Since February this year, the Chief Minister has been in hospitals in Mumbai, Goa and the US.

Recently, he was discharged from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

He is recuperating at his private residence near the city.

Mr Deshprabhu said if the health update was not made available to the people of the state then the party would be forced to approach court seeking direction to the state.

''Let's call the doctors from the United States and the All India Institute of Medical Sciences and let them tell us that he is living. He is heal and hearty, walking, talking and doing everything on his own,'' he said, in response to a question.
