Rahul Navin appointed as new director of Enforcement Directorate

NEW DELHI: Acting Enforcement Directorate chief Rahul Navin was appointed as the full-time director of the anti-money laundering agency on Wednesday. An order issued by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet said the appointment of Navin, a 1993-batch Indian Revenue Service officer, has been made “for a period of two years”.

Navin, 57, joined the ED in November 2019 as a Special Director and was appointed ED acting director after Sanjay Kumar Mishra’s tenure ended on September 15, 2023.Navin’s tenure as ED head saw the high-profile arrests of chief ministers of Delhi and Jharkhand.
