CHATRA/JAMTARA: A section of job aspirants appearing for Jharkhand Public Services Commission (JPSC) Civil Services (PT) Examination created ruckus outside the examination centers in Chatra and Jamtara districts alleging that the question paper of the Jharkhand PSC's prelims was leaked.

A video footage of candidates, reportedly filling up their OMR sheets sitting on the floor outside their examination halls in Jamtara also went viral of social media.

A section of candidates who appeared for the examination at the Upendranath Verma Inter College in Chatra alleged that the seal of the question paper was broken at the principal's office before the schedule.

They claimed that the question paper of General Studies was opened before it reached the examination hall.

Many of the candidates also alleged mismatch in the number of their OMR sheets and question papers.

Principal of the Upendra Nath Verma Inter College in Chatra, however, has denied the allegations.

Following the incident, the State BJP Chief Babulal Marandi came heavily on Champai Soren government, saying that competitive examinations have become a means of earning money for the current government.

“Recently JSSC-CGL exam was conducted, at that time the exam was canceled due to paper leak. The way the paper was leaked today during the examination conducted by JPSC, it is clear that Jharkhand government has made JPSC, like JSSC, a means of earning money,” said Marandi on X.

He also appealed to the youth of Jharkhand to uproot the corrupt government.

Marandi assured that as soon as the BJP government is formed, they will selectively send such corrupt people to jail and will ensure the rights of the youth of Jharkhand and ensure malpractice-free examinations.

Jamtara Deputy Commissioner has formed three special teams to look into the matter.

"Today, a case of viral video related to JPSC (PT) examination has come to our attention. A Special Investigation Team headed by Deputy Development Commissioner Niranjan Kumar and Project Director, ITDA Jugnu Minj and Sub-Divisional Director General of Police Vikas Anand Languri as the two members, has been formed to look into the matter,” said Jamtara DC Kumud Sahay.

The said investigation team has been directed to verify the authenticity of the viral video and submit a report in this regard, he added.

A JPSC official said that the matter has been bought to their notice and investigations are underway.

In January, the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination was cancelled as the question paper was leaked hours before the test, conducted by Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, was to start.
