India's golden era begun; it will clock fastest growth rate: Andhra CM Naidu at Davos summit
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu wrapped up his four-day visit to Davos to attend the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting, and left for New Delhi on Thursday.
His tour included promoting the brand image of Andhra Pradesh and building a network to attract massive investments to the State. Naidu held meetings and roundtable discussions with leaders of multi-national corporations, including the likes of Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Google Cloud CEO Thomas Kurian, explained to them the investor-friendly policies, such as Swarna Andhra 2047 Vision, and invited them to explore the vast opportunities to invest in Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu also promoted India on the global platform and explained potential investors the goals set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi towards achieving Viksit Bharat 2047.
On Thursday, the Chief Minister held talks with André Hoffmann, Vice-Chairman of Board of Directors at Roche, one of the world’s largest biotech companies.
He also discussed Sustainable Development Goals with Achim Steiner, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Administrator, and Becky Anderson, a journalist.
Later, Naidu joined Union Minister for Railways, and Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw and other State representatives to address the media at the Indian Pavilion in Davos. Emphasising the unified participation of Indian States under the ‘Team India’ concept, he highlighted the significance of India’s cohesive representation on global stage.
Sources said Naidu’s visit has laid the groundwork for significant investments and strategic partnerships. Several companies have committed to visiting Andhra Pradesh to explore investment opportunities further, reinforcing the State’s position as a global investment hub.
They said Naidu’s visit has set the stage for exciting collaborations that will further solidify AP’s position as a global investment powerhouse in the coming years.
