Dhanbad (Jharkhand), Nov 13 (PTI) Jharkhand Chiefminister Raghubar Das today laid the foundation stone of theBinod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University (BBKM) at Bhelatandnear here.
Named after Jharkhand state movement leader the lateBinod Bihari Mahto, it would be the ninth university of thestate.
Addressing a function on the occasion, the chiefminister said his government is committed to educationaldevelopment of the state.
The state government would soon set up a women'suniversity at Jamshedpur and a technical university atPalamu, he said.
The state government has already appointed Dr DK Singhas acting vice-chancellor of the BBKM University. PTI CORNN.
