Puducherry, Nov 29 (PTI) Professor Gurmeet Singh todayassumed office as the Vice-Chancellor of PondicherryUniversity, a central institution here.
Singh is the seventh Vice-Chancellor of the university, apress release said.
He was with the Department of Chemistry in DelhiUniversity prior to this appointment.
The university did not have a full-fledgedVice-Chancellor for nearly two years and Anisa Basheer Khan, asenior faculty was the acting VC.
