Hyderabad: World No. 2 Koneru Humpy of ONGC has been invited to play in the double round Scheveningen match between chess legends and young ladies titled ‘Snowdrops vs Old Hands’, to be held from November 27 to December 6 in the beautiful spa city of Marianske Lazne (Marienbad) in Czech Republic. There will be four players in each team. Viktor Kortchnoi, Jan Timman, Robert Hubner and Vlastimil Hort will play for the Legends team. Humpy, Anna Muzychuk, Kateryna Lahno and Jana Jackova will represent the ladies team.
For the first time Humpy will be playing in such a unique double round-robin tournament.
She will play two games each with the Legend players.
