7th national bowling title for Sabeena

Like father, like son. Dhruv Sarda of Delhi emulated his father Harshvardhan Sarda in winning the National tenpin bowling men’s championship at the Blu O. Tamil Nadu’s Sabeena Saleem won the women’s crown for the seventh time on Thursday.

In a slow scoring men’s final, Dhruv Sarda defeated his teammate Shaik Abdul Hammed by 23 pins in an all-Delhi affair. Dhruv had scores of 211, 150 and Hameed 183 and 155.

The women’s final was a high-scoring affair. Sabeena Saleem defeated the upcoming Karnataka bowler Aishwarya Rao by 16 pins.
