Income Tax bagged the Ramasamy Memorial Trophy and a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, while SRM University got the Valliammai Memorial Trophy and a purse of Rs 75,000.

Treble for Sanjana
M Sanjana of Mylapore Club was in scintillating form on Monday, winning the sub-junior billiards and snooker crowns and the junior billiards crown in the Tamil Nadu state ranking tournament. She overcame M Janani of the same club in all three finals.

Two Share Lead
IM S Nithin of Salem and B Kumaran were sharing the lead with four points each after the fourth round of the 23rd national U-25 chess championship. Nithin beat Ganesh Babu of Madurai in 30 moves. Kumaran won in 38 moves against Karnataka’s Vinayak Kulkarni.
