MELBOURNE: Eighteen-year-old Australia test paceman Pat Cummins will make his return from a left heel stress injury against kids his own age.

Cummins, who took six second-innings wickets and hit the winning runs in a man-of-the match performance on debut in the second test against South Africa in December before the injury sidelined him for the rest of the Australian summer, will play in Australia's under-19 team in a four-country tournament beginning next week in Townsville, north Queensland.

Cricket Australia said Cummins' return is "part of his management plan to reintroduce him to competitive cricket while being able to closely monitor his workload."

The tournament includes England, India and New Zealand.
