GALLE, Sri Lanka: India were set a victory target of 176 runs after Sri Lanka were dismissed for 367 before stumps on the third day of the first Test in Galle on Friday.

Dinesh Chandimal hit an unbeaten 162 off 169 balls to lead a remarkable fightback by the hosts after they were reduced to 95-5 in their second innings before lunch.

Off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin finished with 10 wickets in the match, taking six in the first innings and four in the second.
