PARIS: Senegalese Oumar Niasse burst into the English Premier League limelight at the weekend with a brace for relegation-threatened Hull in a 2-1 win over Swansea.

On loan from Everton, the west African striker came off the bench to score twice within nine minutes and give Hull three precious points.

Gabonese Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang notched his 22nd league goal of the German season for Borussia Dortmund to remain top of the Bundesliga scorers charts.

ENGLAND

OUMAR NIASSE (Everton, on loan to Hull City)

He has shown at Hull flashes of the talent that persuaded Everton to secure his services. Sent on loan by Ronald Koeman in January, he did Hull's chances of beating the drop a power of good with a goal double to seal a 2-1 win over fellow strugglers Swansea, with his second an especially fine effort. Victory left Hull one point shy of fourth-from-bottom Crystal Palace.

YAYA TOURE (Manchester City)

A dynamic performance from the ageing Ivory Coast icon helped the City midfield swamp their Middlesbrough counterparts and lay the basis for a 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final win. The sour relations between Toure and Pep Guardiola earlier this season, where at one stage it looked as if he would never play for them again, were firmly a thing of the past as he and the Spanish manager shared a warm embrace on Saturday.

VICTOR WANYAMA (Tottenham Hotspur)

The Kenyan midfield enforcer once again showed why Mauricio Pochettino returned to his old club Southampton and prised him away in the middle of last year. He dominated midfield as Spurs thrashed Millwall 6-0 in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, and also showed there is much more to his game than just hard tackling. He hit the bar with a powerful header and struck a sublime pass from deep inside his own half in the opening period at White Hart Lane which split the Millwall defence.

ANDRE AYEW (West Ham)

It looked as if the Ghana striker had grabbed the Hammers a point when, with seven minutes left at Dean Court, he turned in fellow substitute Sam Byram's cross to make it 2-2. But there was still time for Bournemouth's Josh King to complete a hat-trick as the Cherries won 3-2.

SPAIN

FAYCAL FAJR (Deportivo la Coruna)

Fajr played the full 90 minutes as Deportivo brought Barcelona back down to earth following their Champions League heroics against Paris Saint-Germain with a 2-1 defeat at Riazor. The Moroccan should even have had a goal to round off a brilliant win for Deportivo when he was denied twice in quick succession by Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Jordi Alba's clearance off the line.

NABIL EL ZHAR (Leganes)

Fajr's compatriot El Zhar teed up Gabriel Pires to score a shock early opener for Madrid minnows Leganes at Sevilla. Despite conceding an equaliser to Stefan Jovetic, Leganes held on for a valuable 1-1 draw to edge six points clear of the relegation zone.

MUBARAK WAKASO (Granada)

Ghanaian international Wakaso was sent off for a second bookable offence deep into stoppage time as Granada's chances of avoiding relegation were dealt another blow by Antoine Griezmann's late winner for Atletico Madrid in a 1-0 victory.

ITALY

MOHAMED SALAH (Roma)

Roma coach Luciano Spalletti admitted it was a mistake to leave Salah on the bench for nearly 60 minutes of a 2-1 defeat to Napoli last time out, so it was no surprise the Egyptian was back in the starting line-up away to Palermo. But with Edin Dzeko on the bench, speedy Salah wasn't as effective. A few promising offensives led to nothing and Salah, nine minutes from time, was replaced by Daniele De Rossi. Roma won 3-0.

SULLEY MUNTARI (Pescara)

The Ghanaian showed his class in an otherwise poor performance by the Adriatic coast side by hitting a late consolation after pouncing on a loose ball on the edge of the area. It came in the 83rd minute but Udinese's Duvan Zapata, Jakub Jankto and Cyril Thereau had already put three past Pescara 'keeper Albano Bizzarri. Pescara remain bottom, 10 points from the safety zone.

FRANCE

PREJUCE NAKOULMA (Nantes)

The Burkina Faso international scored his first goals for Nantes in a 3-2 victory at Montpellier. Nakoulma forced in an equaliser after Laurent Pionnier misjudged a looping cross before firing the visitors 2-1 ahead in the 68th minute.

STEVE MOUNIE (Montpellier)

The Benin striker scored for the fifth game in a row but it wasn't enough to spare Montpellier defeat. Mounie beat centre-back Koffi Djidji in the air to head home his 13th league goal of the season on 12 minutes.

GERMANY

PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG (Borussia Dortmund)

The Gabon striker netted his 22nd league goal -- his eighth in four games -- to remain the Bundesliga's top scorer, but ended up on the losing team as third-place Borussia Dortmund crashed to a 2-1 defeat at Hertha Berlin. Aubameyang netted with his second touch in a move orchestrated by Japan's Shinji Kagawa on 55 minutes.

SALOMON KALOU (Hertha Berlin)

The Ivory Coast striker gave Hertha an early lead when he drilled home Vedad Ibisevic's pass in the 2-1 win over Dortmund. It was Kalou's sixth league goal of the season. Kalou's contract expires in June, but he hopes to stay. "Yes, it's possible that I'll sign the contract next week," Kalou told Bild.

NABY KEITA (RB Leipzig)

The Guinea midfield playmaker was rushed to hospital after collapsing in the dressing room following Leipzig's 1-0 home defeat against Wolfsburg. The club think the 22-year-old lost consciousness due to a circulatory collapse brought on by exertion, having worked hard in the 90 minutes. "When you see him lying there, it's a shock at first, but I hope that it has no deeper causes," said Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhuettl.
