
Gujarat Titans had a comfortable eight-wicket win against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their IPL 2025 match at Chinnaswamy Stadium on Wednesday, handing RCB their first defeat of the season.
Chasing a target of 170, GT reached the total with 13 balls to spare.
Jos Buttler led the charge with an unbeaten 73 off 39 balls, while opener Sai Sudharsan contributed 49 from 36 deliveries. Their 75-run partnership for the second wicket set the foundation for GT’s second win in three matches.
Sherfane Rutherford added a quick 30* off 18 balls to seal the chase.
Earlier, Mohammed Siraj's three-wicket haul helped Gujarat Titans limit Royal Challengers Bengaluru to 169/8 in 20 overs.
Choosing to bowl first, GT maintained control by taking wickets at regular intervals. For RCB, Liam Livingstone top-scored with 54, while Jitesh Sharma and Tim David contributed with the bat, the latter scoring 32. Alongside Siraj, Sai Kishore picked up two wickets for GT.
RCB’s lost four wickets within the first eight over of the match.
