Anirudh Badiga struck three goals (18th, 37th, 38th) to enable his team Chettinad Vidyashram, RA Puram, to blank PSBB, KK Nagar in a boys’ U-14 football match of the Chennai Football Association, Ranganayaki Memorial inter-school league tournament, at Natesan Institute of Co-operative Management.

Shankar bags title
Shankar Muthusamy of Chennai won his second straight national ranking title in U-13 boys’ singles at Kurnool on Sunday. He beat Akash Singh 19-21, 21-10, 21-11 in the final. He had won his maiden national ranking crown in Delhi three weeks back.
His Delhi win was the first-ever singles title by a Tamil Nadu player in his age group. By virtue of his Kurnool victory, he is set to become the first player from Tamil Nadu to be ranked No 1 in the U-13 category.
