ANTWERP: French number one Jo-Wilfried Tsonga qualified for the final of the Antwerp ATP on Saturday beating local player Ruben Bemelmans 6-3, 6-3 to show his knee injury is now behind him.

It will be Tsonga's first final in five months, although it comes in a tournament light on top talent as the 32-year-old seeks to gain fitness and confidence.

He is next due to play at the Vienna Open starting Monday and then the Paris Masters the following week.

Tsonga is also set to lead France in next month's Davis Cup final against Belgium in Lille.

He felt pain in his right knee in September at St Petersburg and had not expected to be playing again yet.

On Sunday, Tsonga goes up against Diego Schwartzman of Argentina who beat the 19-year-old Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3, 7-5 in the second semi-final.
