HYDERABAD: RAJENDRA Prasad’s ‘Mee Sreyobhilashi’ bagged the best feature film award while Venkatesh and Charmme were adjudged the best leading actor and leading actress for their films ‘Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule’ and ‘Mantra’ respectively at the Nandi Film Awards for the year 2007.
This was announced by C Parthasarathi, Managing Director, APSFTVTDC, at a press meet in the city today. Sekhar Kammula-directed ‘Happy Days’ and Gopichand’s ‘Lakshyam’ won the second and the third best feature film awards respectively.
The awards will be presented at a function to be held in February before the general elections. Krishna Vamsi-directed ‘Chandamama’ won the best home viewing feature film and ‘Aadavari Matalaku Ardhale Verule’ best popular feature film awards.
Shiva Shakthi Datta-directed ‘Chandrahas’ won the best feature film award on National Integration while ‘Amulyam-The Priceless Gift’ was declared as the best Children’s film. TL Kantha Rao’s ‘Anaganaga Oka Raakumarudu’ was selected as the best book on Telugu Cinema. Challa Srinivas won the best film critic on Telugu Cinema award.
