KARIMNAGAR: Delimitation process has changed the electoral picture of the entire district.

With six constituencies getting revamped in the delimitation, the sitting MLAs from these segments are now forced to look for new constituencies to enter the poll battle.

Kamalapur MLA E Rajender (TRS), Minister for Endowments Juvvadi Ratnakar Rao (Buggaram), Koppula Eswar (Medaram), Sana Maruthi from TDP (Choppadandi), Nerella Kasipeta Lingaiah of the TRS (Nerella) and CPI floor leader Chada Venkata Reddy (Indurthi) are those whose seats have been disturbed and have no option left but to shift to other segments.

The Kamalapur Assembly constituency, which was formed in 1962, ceases to exist as some of its area has been merged with the Huzurabad constituency and the rest with the newly-formed Manakondur (SC) constituency. E Rajender (TRS) is now looking for Huzurabad ticket.

On the other hand, Huzurabad sitting MLA Capt. Laxmikantha Rao (TRS) is planning to contest from the newly-formed Husnabad constituency.

CPI floor leader Chada Venkatareddy is also aspiring for Husnabad ticket. Both parties being part of the Grand Alliance, this segment may pose problems in seat sharing among the alliance partners.

Medaram (SC) constituency has become a general constituency.

Sitting MLA Koppula Eswar is likely to contest from the newly- formed Dharmapuri (SC) segment while Dharmapuri sitting MLA J Ratnakar Rao is opting for Korutla.

Metpally (now not a constituency) MLA Komireddy Ramulu also has plans to contest from Korutla.

This has led to a clash of interest between the two leaders.

With many mandals in Nerella constituency getting merged with Manakondur (SC) constituency, Sircilla too became the hot favourite for several leaders keen on fighting from the district.

Choppadandi moved from General to SC reserved list and sitting TDP MLA Sana Maruthi will have no option but to move to Karimnagar, for which there are already many aspirants like K Devender Rao, who quit the TDP to join the TRS, TDP leader G Kamalakar and NRI P Kishore.
