VIJAYAWADA: Union Minister D Purandeswari today inaugurated the 500th anniversary celebrations of Srikrishnadevraya's coronation at Srikakulam village in Krishna district.
Purandeswari inaugurated the celebrations by offering her prayers at the Srikakuala Andhra Mahavishnu temple.
At the function held on this occasion, speakers lauded the role of Srikrishnadevaraya, who successfully ruled Vijayanagar kingdom for 20 years and received appreciation from people belonging to all walks of life.
The three-day celebrations have been organised jointly by Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Government of AP, The Council of Culture, AP, and the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam and Krishna district administration.
