KURNOOL: As the Bengaluru police were preparing to arrest Aluru Congress MLA Patil Neeraja Reddy, in a case related to the murder of a faction leader and real estate dealer A Prabhakar Reddy, she has been missing for the past ten days. Bengaluru police have issued an arrest warrant against her 15 days ago.

Prabhakar Reddy was the main accused in the murder of former MLA from Pathikonda, Patil Seshireddy, husband of Neeraja Reddy. Bengaluru police suspect that Neeraja Reddy was behind the killing of Prabhakar Reddy. The police have already arrested eight persons accused in the murder and registered a case against Neeraja Reddy. Two police teams from Bengaluru, reportedly, came to Aluru and Hyderabad to arrest the MLA but she was elusive.

On an earlier occasion, Neeraja Reddy told media persons she had nothing to do with Prabhakar Reddy’s murder. However, she is not available on her mobile. She did not attend today’s Racchabanda programme.

When contacted, her PA Yogeswar Reddy said that the MLA was in Shirdi. He said she would attend the Republic Day celebrations in Aluru on Jan 26.
