Justice Samudrala Govindarajulu of the High Court on Monday granted bail to Gali Somasekhar Reddy, Karnataka MLA and brother of tainted mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy, in the cash-for-bail scam case.
Two cases, one for entering into a conspiracy and another for paying bribe to secure bail for Janardhan Reddy, were registered against Somasekhar Reddy. On Sept 25, the High Court granted him bail in one of the cases. While granting the bail the court observed that the offence committed was not grave enough to impose life imprisonment.
