Lashing out at Sharmila for claiming that she was the arrow shot by her brother and YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana wonders who the arrow is aimed at and for what purpose it has been shot.

In an informal chat with journalists at Gandhi Bhavan here on Friday, the PCC chief wondered how YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s daughter could undertake a padayatra in support of her brother Jagan who was cooling his heels in jail in connection with an assets case and how she could defend the wrongdoings of her brother.

Stating that the indirect potshots taken by YSR’s daughter during the launch of her padayatra could probably be aimed at the Congress, Botcha said the YSRC leaders recently made it clear that Congress had no role in the ongoing CBI probe against Jagan.

They themselves had accepted that the investigation was being done as per the directive of the court, he said and asked, “Then how could Sharmila blame the Congress for the present situation of Jagan?” Turning to the ‘Vastunna Mee Kosam’ padayatra of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu, Botcha said that Naidu had been promising the moon to various sections of people during only to hoodwink them and get to power in 2014.

But people were wise enough to judge the deeds of the power-mongering politicos, he said.

Making a mockery of the half day fast observed by Naidu in protest against the plight of weavers during his padayatra on Thursday, Botcha quipped that the Naidu had skipped his meal for the sake of his health as per the advice of the doctors.

“Naidu had ruled the state for nine years and has been the opposition leader for eight years.

But he has become suddenly aware of the sufferings of weavers now?” the PCC chief wondered.
