HYDERABAD: Various daily sevas of the famous hill shrine of Lord Venkateswara in Tirumala would be telecast live on the Sri Venkateswara Bhakthi Channel (SVBC) starting January 30 for the benefit of devotees.

The SVBC run by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD)  will telecast live all the seva programmes such as ‘suprabatham’ and ‘thomala’ from the auspicious Rathasapthami day on Jan 30 for those who could not visit the temple.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, secretary of the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad of the TTD Kasireddy Venkata Reddy said the telecast would commence from 4 a.m. with the suprabatha seva.

The TTD has decided to telecast these sevas live as there was heavy demand for tickets for them and devotees had to wait for even several weeks. This telecast will help the people see the programmes from the comfort of their homes, he said.

SVBC would also telecast live the Rathasapthami festival during which the utsav idol of the presiding deity is taken around the temple on seven ‘vahanams.
