Rs 1 Lakh ex gratia to Kin of truck mishap victims

The police on Wednesday identified 13 out of 14 persons who died in the ghastly accident at Bokkamunthalapadu village in Nidamanoor mandal yesterday wherein a cement-laden truck capsized. The bodies were handed over to the kin of the deceased after autopsy.

The deceased were identified as J Balu (19) of Kunkuduchettu hamlet, Leelavath Bhalu (50) of Palthi hamlet, A Lingaiah (30) of Bheemanapally village, Ravula Narsimha (58) and Ch Kotaiah (28) of Parvedhula village in Peddavoora mandal, B Sambhaiah (58), Kumbham Venkateshwarlu(50), B Rangaiah(58), B Venkateshwarlu (17) of Anumula village in Haliya mandal, Bommu Shekar (35) of Mudhikuntagudem in Gurrampode mandal, M Nageshwar Rao (38) from Haliya mandal, P China Venkat Reddy (56) and A Rama Rao (55) of Anumula village in Haliya mandal.

The police are yet to identify a 55-year-old man. Panchayath raj minister K Jana Reddy, Nalgonda MP Guttha Sukhendar Reddy and district Congress president T Devendhar Reddy visited the injured today at Miryalaguda Area Hospital and condoled the the bereaved families. Jana Reddy also announced Rs 1 lakh ex gratia each to the kin of the deceased families on behalf of the government besides necessary treatment to the injured. He asked the road transport and police officials to initiate necessary action against goods carriers like lorries, which are carrying public for travelling.
