

Former MP DK Audikesavulu Naidu was given an emotional farewell on Thursday. The last rites of Audikesavulu Naidu were performed as per Hindu tradition by his son Srinivas on the premises of Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences in Bangalore at 4.30 p.m. in the presence of several political leaders from the state as well as Karnataka.
Earlier the body was body was kept for leaders to pay homage. Those who paid homage and consoled the family members include state ministers C Ramachandraiah, N Raghuveera Reddy, Union minister K Chiranjeevi, former chief ministers of Karnataka Sadananda Gowda, Yedyurappa, liquor baron Vijay Mallya, TTD chairman K Bapiraju and others. TDP MLA Revanth Reddy, TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s son Nara Lokesh and others also paid homage.
Speaking to reporters, Ramachandraiah and Raghuveera Reddy said the demise of Audikesavulu Naidu is a great loss to the Congress party. ‘’Even though he was a MP representing TDP, he supported the UPA government at a crucial time as he liked the policies of the then government,’’ Ramachandraiah said.
