Separate Rayalaseema state protagonist Byreddy Rajasekhara Reddy launched his Rayalaseema Parirakshana Samiti Party (RPSP) here on Thursday to fight for it.

Addressing an impressive turnout at the launch meet, he asserted that the state would no longer remain unified and said that the only option left before the people of Rayalaseema was to fight for a separate state, comprising the four districts of Chittoor, Kadapa, Anantapur and Kurnool.

“There is no question of us living with the people Sircar (Andhra region),’’ he said and asked ‘’How can we live with those who have violated the Sri Bagh pact?’’

He said that if a separate Rayalaseema state was carved out, the immediate task of his party would be to impose total prohibition.

The RPSP leader told the gathering how the Rayalaseema people had to sacrifice their interests for the sake of AP state. ‘’After all the sacrifices, we are called as water thieves. What is the development we have achieved all these days?’’ he questioned and blamed the leaders of the region for the sorry state of affairs. ‘’Three  persons from the region are responsible for  the neglect of the region,’’ he said indirectly referring to chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and YSRC chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Reddy said the Rayalaseema region was blessed with an abundance of minerals and ores and could help in the development of the separate state.
