Fissures seems to have appeared in APNGOs association, a day ahead of their crucial meeting on how to go about on the Samaikyandhra movement.

APNGOs Association president P. Ashok Babu was at the receiving end of scathing criticism from former leader Subbarayan who alleged that the Samaikyandhra movement was watered down because of the former.

Speaking to newsmen here on Saturday,   former secretary of APNGOs Subbarayan alleged that Ashok Babu was floating a new political party and was not interested in the employees’ welfare.

“Ashok Babu was giving priority to political issues rather than focusing on the issues pertaining to employees,” Subbarayan alleged.

He also found fault with Ashok Babu for registering a new political party with the Election Commission.

He wanted the details of the expenditure for the money collected by Ashok Babu by giving coupons for the ‘Save AP’ meeting held in Hyderabad.

Subbarayan said that he had failed to learn anything from the agitating Telangana employees. He also accused Ashok Babu of not forming a Political Seemandhra JAC.  Ashok Babu did not allow political leaders to give voice to APNGOs cause. If there is no support from political leaders, how will we play a role in stopping the bill from passing in the parliament?, Subbarayan wondered.

Reacting to these allegations, Ashok Babu said that Subbarayan is not part of the organisation and added that he is not answerable to him.

“Subbarayan was expelled from the APNGOs long back on corruption charges. He was expelled when Gopala Reddy was the president.’’ he said. Ashok Babu said that APNGOs future course of action will be decided on Monday.
