TDP chief plans bus yatra in 230 Assembly constituencies

TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu will be undertaking a bus yatra to cover about 230 Assembly constituencies, which he did not visit during his Vastunna Meekosam padayatra.

Speaking on the second day of party conclave Mahanadu at Gandipet on city outskirts on Tuesday, the TDP supremo said during his padaytara, he could interact with people in only about 64 Assembly segments. “I will go on a bus yatra in July to instil hope and confidence in people in other constituencies that the TDP would stand by them in their hour of difficulty,” he said.

Chandrababu Naidu dwelt mostly on how the party cadre should use corruption as a weapon to deal a blow to both YSRC and the Congress. “It is now established clearly that both the parties are mired in a morass of corruption. People have realised that only the TDP is clean and able to provide a responsive administration,” Naidu said.

The TDP supremo wanted party workers to be on the side of the people and fight with the government against increasing power tariff frequently. Already, it has increased the tariff abnormally in the guise of fuel surcharge adjustment, he said and pointed out that the party would submit a memorandum to the Governor on June 9 with signatures of 1.4 crore people to restrain the power utilities from imposing financial burden on the people. Copies of the memorandum, containing the signatures of people, are being brought to Hyderabad in 13 vehicles, he said.

Earlier in the day, actor Nandamuri Balakrishna spoke attacking KCR, the Congress and the YSR Congress.
