HYDERABAD: A day after two TDP leaders were served notices by the Telangana State Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in connection with the cash for votes scam, all eyes are now on nominated TRS MLA Elvis Stephenson, whose statement is being recorded in front of a magistrate at the ACB court, Nampally in Hyderabad today.

This afternoon, Stephenson, who was offered a bribe of Rs 50 lakh, allegedly by TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy, drove into the court premises amid tight security and walked into a the court of III metropolitan magistrate where his statement under section 164 CrPC is being recorded. It is likely that he may disclose the name of AP Chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and a few other TDP leaders who allegedly spoke to him before Revanth Reddy allegedly offered a bribe to him.

Meanwhile, ACB officials are presently questioning TDP leader V Narender Reddy, who was served a notice by ACB yesterday. He is inside ACB office for the last three hours. It is likely that the ACB may send notices to a few more TDP leaders today. As for serving a notice to Chandrababu Naidu, it all depends on the statement of Stephenson. Yesterday, the two TDP leaders S Venkata Veeraiah and V Narender Reddy were summoned by the ACB for questioning in the cash for votes scam. ''More notices will be served today,'' sources told Express.

Meanwhile, Telangana DGP Anurag Sharma, ACB chief AK Khan and Hyderabad police commissioner M Mahendar Reddy met Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao here. The meeting assumes significance as Telangana ACB is said to be planning to issue notice to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in connection with the cash-for-vote scam.

On the other hand, the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet is meeting here to discuss and formulate its action plan on how to counter the moves of the Telangana government with regard to cash-for-vote scandal.
