Conference on Indian Coastal Security

GITAM School of Business to hold meet in association with security agencies

VISAKHAPATNAM:  GITAM School of International Business (GSIB) in association with Centre for Human Security Studies (CHSS), Coastal Security Police (AP Police), Association of Private Security Agencies (APSA) and eSF Labs Limited, a Gujarat-recognised research centre, will be organising a two-day national conference on ‘India’s Coastal and Cyber Security Challenges’ here at GITAM campus on October 14.

GITAM University president MVVS Murthi will be delivering the inaugural address for the event while Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police JV Ramudu will deliver the key-note address.

Retired IAS officer K Padmanabhaiah, Former union home secretary and Honorary Director, Center for Human Security Studies (CHSS), former DGP HJ Dora, other former DGPs MV Krishna Rao, Noel Swaranjit Sen, former IPS officers KC Reddy, Jagan Seshadri, Shree Kumar Menon and Superintendent of Police, coastal security, Karnataka, Chenna Basavanna will deliver distinguished lectures. Officials from Navy, Marine Police and Customs will also be present.

The conference will be attended by officials from various branches of Coastal Security and Cyber Security in the country. Association of Private Security Agencies (APSA) president Bhaskar Reddy and 25 active members of the association would be participating in the conference. The objective of the conference is to bring together all professionals from Coastal Security and Cyber Security in the country to share their experiences and discuss the challenges they have faced on duty.

Dean and Director of GSIB VK Kumar and founder director of CHSS K Ramesh Babu will also be present.
