'B' Category Medical Seat Counselling on Aug 12, 13

Counselling for ‘B’ category seats of MBBS and BDS courses, that is management quota seats in private medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

VIJAYAWADA:  Counselling for ‘B’ category seats of MBBS and BDS courses, that is management quota seats in private medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh, for which a separate entrance test MCET-AC was conducted, will be held on August 12 and 13 at NTRUHS.

According to a press release from NTRUHS, the counselling will be held in two sessions - morning and evening - on the two days. On the first day counselling (from 8 am) will be for candidates holding rank 1 to 1,000 and on the second day it will be for ranks from 1,001 to the last rank of MCET-AC

The rank-holders attending the counselling have to come with all their relevant certificates and have to pay counselling fee of `5,000 at the reception counter in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of  ‘secretary, APMDCMA’ irrespective of their selection/admission.

University fee for MBBS has been fixed at `25,000 and for BDS at `16,000 which had to be paid in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of ‘Registrar, Dr NTR University of Health Sciences’. Tuition fee of `11 lakh for MBBs and `4.5 lakh for BDS has to be paid in demand draft drawn in favour of  ‘secretary, APMDCMA’. The selected candidates have also to submit one year bank guarantee for tuition fee chargeable at the college every year before the commencement of academic year till the completion of the course.

In all, there are 11 private medical colleges and 12 private dental colleges with a total seats (management quota) of 574 and 402 respectively.
