

VISAKHAPATNAM: HERE is a good new for the jewellery lovers, as South India’s leading ‘Lalithaa Jewellery Mart Private Limited opened its outlet in the city here on Thursday where gold ornaments in the most contemporary are available at the cost price.
The three-decade old jewellery major opened a 75,000 sft outlet which was inaugurated by finance minsiter Yanamala Ramakrishnudu near the RTC bus stop. Addressing the media, Lalithaa Jewellery Mart Private Limited chairman and managing director M Kiran Kumar said: “This will be the landmark of Vizag which will be a shining example of how jewellery ought to be sold in AP. I want to demonstrate that jewellery can be sold profitably at a fair price without hidden charges and will make the process of retailing jewellery more transparent and ensure that customers make a wise decision.”
The showroom has a lavish display of gold, diamond and platinum jewellery in the latest desgins. It has Hallmark certified gold jewellery and IGI-certified diamond jewellery, contemporary silverware, fashionable stone-encrusted offerings and classical-designed jewellery. Modern designs that appeal to the needs of the present day fashion and investment plans that are innovative and flexible are the significant features.
Gold jewels are offered at VA charges of just 1 to 9 per cent, a few jewels at 10 to 17 per cent. The IGI-certified diamond jewels are available with absolutely no VA charges and the diamond stones cost is also the lowest in India. Also a good range of contemporary and fancy silverware are available for no VA charges.
What’s more special is VA charges of plain jewels will be one per cent less and VA charges of stone-studded jewels will be two per cent less, valid till July 31.
The other attractions include chains, bangles, necklace, chokers, vangis, oddiyanams, rings and jhumkis and a separate massive collection for silver items, fancy is another attraction.
“I have checked every shop and found that more wastage charges are taken from customers, even a cloth which is worn out is used as a waste cloth, then why are the wastage charges more than `1,000 taken for gold. I have started my career as a common man, so I wished to set up a showroom for the benefit of the commoner,” said Kiran Kumar.
He further said, “While many jewelleries are customer-centric, what I see is giving customers more than ever by ensuring lowest value addition (VA) charges, exquisite craftsmanship and no hidden charges at the fairest price.”
“Coming up with a jewellery showroom in the city centre is good for development and it is good that more people get employment,” said Ramakrishnudu.
