Cultural Change Needed for Women: Telangana CII Chief

VISAKHAPATNAM: “Change in cultural mindset and introduction of startup culture from school days could ensure participation of women in the Startup movement,” felt  Chairperson, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Telangana, Vanitha Datla. She is a delegate at the StartAP Fest in Visakhapatnam on Saturday. On the occasion, Vanitha Datla felt that the kind of encouragement entrepreneurship is getting nowadays will obviously spur more women to come up with startups.

Reacting to the resistance the girls face from families to enter startups, Vanitha said that it’s an individual decision and support of family is needed, especially for women. Moreover, a woman-friendly environment and communication facility will be ensured by the authorities to promote women entrepreneurship, she added.
