

HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday asked officials to take control of lands belonging to the Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple of Yadagirigutta which have been encroached upon.
Reviewing the progress of the development plans of Yadadri, Rao was told that a good amount of temple lands have been encroached upon. Responding to this, the CM asked officials to identify the lands that have been encroached and taken possession of.
“If people have constructed dwellings on such lands, provide alternative to such people”, Rao said.
A large number of shopkeepers and locals of Yadagirigutta hillock, who are likely to be displaced due to the development of the hillock, met CM the today in Hyderabad.
Rao assured that the shops to come up on the hillock and also in the 1,000 acre land where various amenities will be developed will be given to local businessmen. “We will not call tenders for allocating the shops. They will be given to locals”, Rao assured.
Rao asked the officials to take up all the development works simultaneously. He instructed officials to construct roads in such a way that people visiting from any part of the state can reach the hillock easily.
