A law to guarantee business satisfaction

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday approved the launch of keys reforms in policies for making AP the most industry-friendly State and guarantee efficient public service.

VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday approved the launch of keys reforms in policies for making AP the most industry-friendly State and guarantee efficient public service.

The Ease of Doing Business (EoDB) Committee presented the Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP) 2017 and analysed the preparedness of all the departments. The BRAP proposed 40 new services that require a new Public Service Delivery Guarantee Act (PSDGA) or an equivalent legislation, which define the competent authorities, timeline for delivery of service (clearances, approvals, licences, renewals) and compensation to applicants in case of delay and mechanism to appeal.

Compensation to applicants will be a penal provision when officers or departments miss their deadline.Approving the Business Reforms Action Plan - 2017, the Chief Minister said that the reforms would help in attracting more investments to the State.The EoDB committee proposed that the Single Window Act (2002) will be amended and it will be named as Industries Services Delivery Right and Guarantee Act. 

“Our government has a long list of industries associated with us, and it will henceforth be our responsibility to maintain good relations with them. All stakeholders must be sensitised to the new reforms using comprehensive brochures,” said the Chief Minister. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu suggested the officials to welcome the investors with flowers and sweets.

Easing business blues
Out of all the 373 reforms mooted by EoDB, 245 are being implemented and 128 to be implemented soon.
CM wants officials to implement all reforms by August 25
The EoDB committee must meet once in fifteen days to discuss the extent 
and quality of implementation, says CM
